10 things I hate about Internet marketing!!!
1. I thought a lot about this, and still can’t seem to get my head around it! I received hundreds of promotional e-mails of marketers, telling me how a “friend “ made millions with some or other product!! I mean, is the rich guy to busy or too rich to promote his product? I really appreciate it more if I can speak directly to the brain behind the clever idea!
2. I hate it if I ask for help in a forum, and someone “help” me by advertising his own product to solve my problem? What happened to the days when you would just help someone because it is a nice thing to do!
3. I really have a BIG problem with people using all the marketing jargon (language) to answer a new marketers question, but maybe I must buy a marketing dictionary to solve this problem myself!
4. I hate it how programs that you buy show you step by step how to succeed, but they leave out all the small detail, as if I know exactly how this world functions. I only recently discovered there was a place like the virtual world! And how easy it is to get lost in it!
5. I hate it that I can go around in circles for a whole day and not accomplish much to show for it! Starting with the product, I then look for a profitable keyword… do the research, decide on the way I will promote it, place an ad in Google, and find out I can’t afford the keyword, and start all over again…not really sure what I’m doing! (I’m in training still, at Wealthy Affiliate University)
6. I hate it that I have to share my e-mail address with so many people, even if it is one I created especially to receive promo mail! I can’t seem to find time to read my mail, and I fear that I will miss some important stuff!
7. I hate it when I join a forum or blog, and they give me a popularity score 0!! How embarrassing! And sometimes weeks goes by, and no one visits my blog, or care to comment on my posts! I feel very neglected.
8. And I especially hate the facelessness of it all! I write e-mails and messages to people called Dummy, Squint and even Zombie! And in their profiles, they post an image of a cow or a car!! I am loosing touch with reality!
9. I hate it when I forget when it is our turn to loadshed. ( For all you who don’t know what it is, I’m South African, and we have a power supply crises, and they cut our power on a regular basis too save energy)
Sometimes, I am in the middle of building a website, and peep…darkness!!
10. I have to add this last point…my bum!! I’m an artist, used to standing and working physically, not sitting in one position for hours!! I also noted that I’m hungry all the time! I need brainfood! Or maybe I must try one of my own affiliate products, and get the body detoxed and in better shape!
