Mike Farley is a publicist and freelance writer based in Nashville. He started the Michael J. Media Group in 2002, after achieving regional success in Cleveland, Ohio as a musical artist. He decided to put his networking and publicity skills to good use by helping other bands, artists, and other businesses achieve maximum exposure regionally and nationally. Now living in Nashville and sharing his business with wife Jen, MJM boasts a roster of over 25 clients and has become one of the most sought after indie PR companies. Current and former clients include Flyleaf, Dropping Daylight, Al Di Meola, Poco, Pure Prairie League, The Samples, The Clarks, The Kentucky Headhunters, Michael Tolcher, Chris Knight, and Pat McGee Band Mike is also a freelance writer, currently with Bullz-Eye.com, Premium Hollywood, All The Rage, and Fantasy Sports Update. He is as passionate about football as he is about music, and recently started a blog called I Miss Football Season. And as far as music, The Mike Farley Band released four independent albums and was voted Best Rock Band by the Cleveland Free Times two years in a row. Mike and his band opened for such artists as Dave Matthews, Tori Amos, Edwin McCain and the Pretenders. His songs have been placed on ABC-TV’s All My Children, as well as in MTV’s Undressed and ESPN’s X-Games. In addition, the Houston Astros baseball team licensed Mike’s song “Play Ball” for their team video, which was shown in Minute Maid Park for every home game during the 2003 season.
