What an honor to participate on a web site with such wonderful writers.  Like others, I am always learning...always hoping.  I am merely someone who loves to write about things I experience and things I know.

My ultimate life experience is being the mom to two beautiful girls, who are now in their twenties.  Even more awesome, is to be the grandmother to a sweet baby boy, who just turned a year old.

I believe myself to be young in heart and mind...and my philosophy on writing mirrors the great Ernest Hemingway, who said, "my aim is to put down what I see and what I feel in the best and simplest way I can tell it."

My favorite things to do are to be with my family, to cook for family and friends, read cooking magazines, novels by James Patterson and Michael Connelly, play "fetch" with my dog, do home improvement projects, and, of course, write articles on HubPages.   

Right now, I think my best hubs are about a trip to Vegas, my run-in with a possum, and people watching in the airport. 

While I love to travel, and Vegas won a "hub", my true vacation heart belongs to Catalina Island. 

I believe in God, my country, work-life balance, the generations of the future, and doing the right thing - as opposed to simply doing things right.  I am no expert in any one thing, but I hope to tell my story, "simply, and in the best way that I feel."
