Born and raised in Toronto, I developed a passion for the power of both words and film at an early age. With a Bachelor of Arts, Honors Degree in English from the University of Toronto, I've been writing professionaly for 15 years.

My film-related career started as a hobby when I worked as a film extra on movie and TV sets, including the feature films Millennium and Sea of Love. Later, I married my love of words with film and studied screenwriting through Syd Field and the Gotham Writers’ Workshops, and completed a screenplay for a romantic-comedy feature.

In the last 3 years, I've produced, directed, written and edited two short films; directed, shot, edited, and produced several short video projects for non-profit companies; and produced a documentary about street youth in Guelph, where I currently live with my wife, Irene and my son, Taylor.
