I've been in the restaurant industry for 12 years, managing for almost half of that. I'm originally from South Africa and now living in Alberta, Canada. I originally immigrated with my folks in 2001 to Vancouver to get away from the crime and racism issues in South Africa, and to get a better education and future than I would have gotten there. It's debateable whether that's what happened... grass always look greener on the other side until you get there!

 I'm also a huge comic book enthusiast! Although moving out on my own 6 years ago cut my comic book funding by 90% I still collect the odd X-Men or Witchblade. I originally wanted to go into comics as a career, and have done 3 of the Joe Kuberts comic book courses. I am also self taught on inking, pencilling , digital colouring, and digital painting. I do fantasy paintings freelance for extra money on the side.

I am also a mother of a beautiful 6 month old girl. Although I am not with her father anymore he is active in her life, and I have a wonderful man who is like a dad to her too. Children are a blessing! I love my daughter with all my heart.
