Won my first trophie dragracing while Cyndi Lauper thought girls just wanted to have fun. Madonna had just released her first self-titled album. Yes, I meant to write the word "album." Want to know what she was wearing on her first Saturday morning appearance on Dick Clark's American Bandstand?
My point being is that I've been around for awhile. And it's been toooo long since I've been at the dragstrip regularly.
So, my goal to make this the most comprehensive collection of interviews of people involved in the subcultures connected to the worlds of Burlesque and Pin-up Models is probably just my inner child yearning for the smell of burned rubber and the glare of bumper chrome blinding me mid-afternoon. The connection being where there is pin-ups and burlesque a good car show isn't far behind.
This blog will also look at other subcultures including fetish models, alterative music and all things associated with tattoos... Well, I'm probably too old to handle ALL things associated with tattoos, but let me give it a shot.
Plus, I enjoy getting on stage once in awhile as Queen Divalicious, a bit character and comedian of the burlesque stage. I'm sure my adventures as the Queen will be initimate to this blog as it develops.
Here I stand looking over the cliff.
Okay, I jumped.
Please catch me before I hit the ground - that sudden impact is just never a good deal...
