Hello there world, my name is Theophanes. I'm a cantankerous recluse with a wry sense of humor, so you best be careful where you step. My various scribblings here on HubPages probably have a schizophrenic pattern to them. What can I say? My interests are varied and my opinions are usually prone to controversy. I write whenever the voices in my head get too loud.

Other than that I am aspiring novelist of serious fiction, satire, and avant garde. Sorry, no excerpts here, but someday you never know where I might pop up. I'm using HubPages mostly for rabblerousing and various essays. I know some people may misread my satirical stuff and think I'm a cantankerous little bastard, but really, I'm not so bad, just a little weary of society. Besides, a few ruffled feathers are good for the soul.

My icon is Howl, my smart-ass Bengal cat. Don’t let that cute little feline smile fool you; he’s just as mischievous as I am. His best friend is a Tailless rat named Dorian (I kid you not.) Both of them live in a cat version of a bachelor pad with Pyjamas & Toofles. As you can see my pets take on names that reflect my amusement with words from different dialects. I have a trillion other mini anecdotes about the animals that have surrounded me in my life but I’ll stop here. Suffice to say I do have other interests, other passions, and other stories. Stick around and perhaps I can engage you in a little discussion or two, an intellectual treat, just for my humble readers.
