I think more than anything else it could be said that I'm interested in too many things.  Music has always been a large part of my life and today among other things, I teach piano lessons in Asheville, NC .  But, technology and business have also been fascinations of mine.  For that reason I also do computer work in Asheville and maintain a site of answers to computer problems.  I also maintain a site about how to earn money online and I do generate some income from my online businesses.  I have a home fish aquarium.  At one point in my life, my wife and I had over 100 houseplants!  Somehow I haven't got around to doing a site about houseplants (yet).  I have spent many many hours researching our family genealogy and I have two sites that are outgrowths of that hobby.  One for North Carolina Genealogy, the other for South Carolina Genealogy.

I have earned my Amateur Radio Extra license which I've documented some at my Online Radio and TV. site.  I was probably one of the last people in the US to earn my Amateur Extra license by taking the Morse Code test (the last day that was a requirement.)  From my interest in Morse Code I've developed a site that provides free morse code mp3 ringtones.

I've been fascinated by learning languages and have spent the last several years learning spanish although I've also studied French, German and very small amounts of Mandarin and Italian (possibly 10 words of Mandarin.... in some ways I'm more fascinated with the interpretation of written Chinese and have studied that more than the spoken language.)  The little Italian that I know is crossover from my Spanish studies.

In the last several years I have been diagnosed with Meniere's Disease which seems to be triggered by my allergies (dust and mold).  I have many other interests (and web sites for them....)  but this is probably starting to give you a bit of a picture of who I am.  When I get into a new hobby I tend to really absorb it and learn everything I can about it.

I really could go on for several more paragraphs... I consider myself a perfectionist.  I nitpick at myself and sometimes have a hard time getting started on big projects because I tend to want the timing to be "perfect".  In recent years I've really spent a lot of time analyzing the vicious cycle perfectionists can go through as I've had several students that also exhibit some of the same traits.  I'm learning to deal with it better all the time....

I live in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina.  I've travelled to other countries and to many states in our great nation, but there are few places on earth that I would rather be than these mountains that I've known as home for most all of my life.
