Hi Everyone,

I'm new to HubPages, and this is my first attempt at a profile.  Hope you like it... :)

I'm passionate about many things, but one of my main passions is in the area of teaching "math to kids".  Our children in the U.S. are falling behind in this skill, and I'm trying my best to reverse the trend.  I have a web site dedicated to it:  www.math-comic-strips.com  in which I'm promoting the idea of a comic book superhero who has no real "super powers", but solves problems and crimes via his wit and of course "math skills".  I have a comic book in the development/publishing phase right now (hopefully completed soon), but the gist of the story is at: http://www.math-comic-strips.com/free-comic-books.html if you are interested in this sort of thing.  I would love to hear from you if you have any ideas on how I can be able to help out in this area.

I'm also into family togetherness.  My wife and I area expecting our first child (a baby girl), and we are both very excited (me not so much about the changing diaper thing...).  Lots to do around the house...such as painting the baby's room "peach" (my wife's choice), but I'm trying to find time to keep up with my family togetherness site at:  www.creative-family-beach-vacations.com

Thirdly, I have a passion for writing.  I currently work in IT, but for diversification purposes, I am starting along the path of a writing career as well.  I have just started a web site dedicated to it at:  www.how-to-write-a.com  I'm passionate about it, but not profitable at it.  Any tips that you may have on how I can improve I would love to hear.
