I grew up in Granite City, Illinois (near St. Louis, MO), then went to University of Notre Dame and got a computer engineering degree.  I took a software engineering job at Delco Electronics, met my husband, Rick, went to Texas A&M where I studied computer animation for a year, moved to Tucson and got married.  We had the great opportunity to live in central England for six months where we travelled all over Europe.  We moved back to Indiana and had three kids.  I owned a small website company for a while out of my home and worked part-time as a IT coordinator for a school, but mainly I've been a stay-home mom.  One of my kids has Autism, and in our dire attempts to cure our son, I've developed a passion for advocating for children with special needs and their families, researching every aspect of Autism, and environmental issues.
