I'm a God lovin country girl, living not far from Seattle Washington, having returned to the area I spent a good portion of my youth. I wear many hats, which include being a career woman (Realtor), a mother, a wife, a friend, an animal lover - including equestrian enthusiast - and a servant and daughter of the Most High. My husband is a wonderful man, born and raised in Hawaii, where we met in 1993 (I moved there in 1989 and was blessed to call it home for over 14 years!). We have two precious Hawaiian named boys "Makana" meaning 'gift' and "Kainalu" (or "Kai," for short) meaning 'ocean wave.' I'm crazy in love with my family and friends, including the non humans. We live on acreage and have 3 horses, a dog, a cat and we've recently acquired our first (and only) bunny. We also have wonderful neighbors whom I cherish especially since now a days, so many people in our society don't even bother. I love to travel and explore and the photo above is of me (and a glimpse of my husband) at The Roslyn Cafe (the town where the show "Northern Exposure" was filmed). We were there this past October (2008) on a day outing with my mom and step dad while they were up visiting from N. California for a few days.

Hi Christinekv, thanks so much for your encouraging comment on my Jerusalem blog. I'm a little confused by your "creeped out" comment though. Could you further explain? I wasn't mocking Christianity, I am a Christian, after all. It's just that I find people relying on trinkets and images on tortillas to be a near mockery of true faith, that's the point I was intending to convey. If that's what you were referring to, anyways. Again, thanks so much, I Do aspire to be a travel writer, so your compliment was very inspiring.
