I started surfing at age 19 and found it to be much more fulfilling than the college party lifestyle. 30 years of surfing has given me some of the greatest experiences in my life.

I have had killer whales and great whites eye me up for lunch. I have watched erupting volcanoes spew molten lava into the ocean while I was surfing. Grey Whales have come so close to me that I have been showered by their spray. Emercing in the surf culture and life style has taken me to exotic places where I would have never gone if I had not taken up surfing.

I credit surfing as to why I quit drinking and smoking. Cant surf drunk and you cant catch as many waves if you smoke.

I hope you enjoy my hubs, If you take my rants personally then yes I am talking about you. But that doesn't mean I am not respectful of your opinion. Yes it does matter to me. Just so you know .
