I am a graphic designer, artist, and writer currently residing in the Northwest United States. I have always enjoyed writing and have used it for many purposes, beginning with "roses are blue" poems when I was nine. I am an avid journaler, have enjoyed courses in creative writing, poetry, and in 2004 I worked as a contract writer for Morgan & Chase Publishing (then Oregon Publishing Co.). I started blogging to keep the skill and passion alive.

A Bit of Background
I am a child of the depression. Not the 30's depression but witnessing my mother, in her 30's, struggling with depression and anxiety. I inherited this struggle  and have learned to treat it as I do life overall - with an incredible curiosity. A few years ago I chose to ask for help. Once I decided I wanted a better life I was on my way. The environment I grew up in, the people I've met, the places I've been and am reaching towards - all lead me to this point.  I'd like to share what I've learned with others to educate and support.

For those who can relate, are on the path to recovery, or are learning how to support others' with depression and anxiety, I wish you the best of luck and courage on your journey.

*For any Mental Health related Hubs I encourage readers to use my articles as a form of support and to evaluate any suggestions I might present rather than accepting them as "the answer." I am not a doctor and have no professional training in psychology.
