green light on HubPages

GREEN LIGHT. For however far one has come.. one can always go further..  I just love how this simple two-word phrase could evoke so much positivity in me.  For me at least, it means moving on, moving forward.

I am what we call in my native Tagalog tongue "estudyante ng buhay" roughly translated-- "a student of life."  I continuously learn, embrace and take deep interest in a wide array of subjects that i encounter in my journey towards life.

I am a dentist and a registered nurse in the Philippines. I am a California registered nurse where I'm currently based ( only been here a few months). I am a mom to a beautiful child and a wife to a good husband.  A daughter to wonderful parents and a sibling to six loving brothers.

I started to be passionate about reading and writing when, as a young school age child, i would read through the daily newspaper daddy had just finished his own perusal on.  I was always fascinated with the depth and breadth of the writings of our talented Filipino editors and opinion page writers.  I have always dreamt of being able to write on my own.

I hope to be able to tackle on the many many things i am passionate about and on tons of other things that i am just plainly interested on and  would hope to be able to help other people by delving into the subject at hand and hopefully be able to shed light on them.

Here are some areas of interest that always have some ideas and questions simmering in every nook and cranny of my grey matter:

*  Health and Medicne

*  Family, Child Care, Parenting, Marriage

*  Environmental Issues

   I wouldnt want to be restricted on these areas though, because it just isnt as predictable as to what is cooking up in my head..waiting to burst out of the silent introvert t whose mouth just  wouldnt speak up much, but whose mind is just always, always running with  a whole lot of thoughts waiting to be shared.

I am also planning to be able to chronicle my foray into the nursing field here in the US, hopefully be a guide or some kind to a mound of others who are as eager to be one.. I am 27, given the average life expectancy, I have a several more decades to write on..

i know we have to refer to ourselves here in the third person, for some reasons I just wouldn't. Maybe later..
