I am the code jockey at Red Red Design. I would imagine that this is enough for you to get an accurate picture of who I am. Remember that kid in school who was always obsessing about computer dorkery? Well, that would be me.
When I am not writing code for projects at Red Red, I am obsessing about the latest gadgets to hit the market and how they might somehow be leveraged with the internet to put real live people in touch with each other. Lately, I think real human to human interaction is a dying art, but we'll see.
That leaves very little time for anything else (like sleep), but I do find some spare minutes here and there. In those minutes, I like:
Reading too much - Reading MORE books about coding, math, astronomy, and all things geeky. I am constantly trying to keep up with my reading list backlog.
Traveling far and wide on my motorbike. I HATE getting flipped off by harley riders.
Searching for the perfect secret restaurant.
Listening to music - Collecting and listening to vintage vinyl. Fiddling with my ipod and trying to find a mix that is just right. I listen to too many podcasts. I am a huge music snob, but I have earned that right. I also rack up considerable hours listening to Sirius satellite radio.
Watching stupid things on TV - Recording all sorts of nonsense on my PVR and watching it late into the night, along with fits of late night horror movie viewing.
Photography - I like to play camera with whatever catches my eye. I collect vintage and just plain weird cameras and make them work again.
I live with a very well adjusted wife and son who I have slowly and methodically tricked into thinking that the life we lead is all perfectly normal. We have a giant kitty who doesn't care one way or the other.
