I am a Peruvian, married to an Austrian engineer, mother of two kids (girl 18 and boy 16) who were born in Australia, and we now live in Graz, Austria. I don’t like when people ask me where I come from, as it’s difficult to answer! Born in Peru, migrated to Australia (Hobart, Brisbane and Canberra), moved to Santo Domingo, (Dominican Rep), then back to Australia and then on to Austria, where I am living now. I have 3 passports, but regret never having got the Dominican one, which is the land Columbus (and Sylvia) liked best!

I studied to be a librarian in Australia and have worked in university libraries in Australia and the Dominican Rep, as well as a central bank library in the Caribbean country. I am fully bilingual in English and Spanish, but the French I learned in school and university was forgotten when I started learning German! I have done translations (English and Spanish) and desk-top publishing, but besides helping my husband with his work and publications I have not had a job here.

As a librarian, I give attention to detail and that is perhaps why I enjoy doing embroidery, Sudoku and jig saw puzzles. I also like to write and I’m glad I found Hub Pages, as I have already done a few hubs and have ideas for many more!
