My parents were of mixed heritage: male and female.
Despite this rocky beginning, I ended up as a lifelong musician, radio industry spokesperson, writer/columnist for radio trade magazines, streaming radio expert and a non-boring college instructor.
ON AIR, OFF AIR: I was a radio DJ (in the 60's & 70's), a studio engineer at WABC & WPLJ radio in New York City (in the 70's), a nationwide radio programming consultant (in the 80's & early 90's). Spent 14 years as head writer / director of marketing & PR for a giant radio software company (1993 - 2006), and now doing the same thing for Jetcast, Inc. www.JetcastStreaming.com
I've visited 49 states (Alaska), and have spoken at radio industry events throughout the USA and the UK, the Netherlands, Singapore and Australia.
OVER 1,000 EVENTS: As a mobile DJ in the 80's and 90's I entertained at over a thousand wedding receptions, anniversaries, picnics, parties, boat launchings, nightclubs and yes, even divorce parties!
WHAT DJs LEARN: (1) Everyone's musical taste is different. (2) Respect all musical genres because each has millions of legitimate fans. (3) All SUCCESSFUL musical performers create a "mashup" of art, science, psychology, culture...and music.
Current work:
(1) Jetcast Radio/video Internet Streaming, New York, USA. Senior Marketing Executive & partner. Clients: radio & Internet stations worldwide.
(2) Briarwood College, Southington, CT, USA. Academic Program Director, Broadcasting / Communications Dept.
(3) Western Connecticut State University, Danbury, CT USA. Instructor for radio workshop and advise campus station WXCI-FM.
Hobbies: Geography, Tennis, Pizza.

Hi Tom;
I really enjoyed your e-mail. It brought a smile to my face to remember the old TZFC from the 60s and its 50 cent dues!
