   Can Christians be what other would consider "sensitive" to the spiritual world?
   
   I have met many Christians that say they can see things that others don't! Many of them don't know what to call but being sensitive. I personally don't believe in physics, and medium, and these Christians have desire to be such things! What is everybody opinion?

   I think that is possible although I think the larger question is "can others be sensitive to the premise of Christian beliefs".  Like many other aspects of the American society, Christians have been asked to give up prayer in the classroom and remove all religious association from public buildings among other things. This is a nation founded on Christian beliefs. While I certainly believe that we should practice religious freedom in this country and respect the religion of others, I see no reason to dismantle the premise of our nation for those who ask to be a part of it. Is the premise of America that we will switch to the Muslim religion because we have a majority of Muslims in the country?  That makes no sense...it ignores the principles of the democratic republic and when that happens the republic will be lost. Sensitive...yes, abandoning...no! WB

   Within your question is a kind of mysterious truth.  Keep in mind there are 2 world-views.  One is spiritual. The other is "material".  The man who is material only sees what is visable and so he does not believe in anything spiritual. He believes himself as scientific, rational and logical and sees the spiritual man as anti-scientific and superstitious (and stupid).
   
   The spiritual (Christian) man knows HE HIMSELF has a spirit.  He knows God is a spirit.  If he is a Christian... he has accepted the spirit of God (Jesus), to lead and guide his life. 
   
   When the material man reads the Bible, he only looks for logical rational truths... but all he sees is superstition and
   anti-logical-nonsense.  But the SPIRITUAL man reads the Bible looking for spiritual truth.  The Bible is full of spiritual truth.   The Bible must be read from a spiritual mindset, not a physical worldview mindset.   Jesus explains this in Mark 4:12
   "seeing they may see and NOT PERCEIVE, and hearing they may hear and NOT UNDERSTAND."
   
   The material-world-man can begin to understand spiritual things when he truly wants to change his heart. NOT when he reads the bible angrily and doubtfully. 
   
   So... the Christian is not talking about "spiritism" or "psychics" or "ghosties."  He is speaking about the spirits in men and of God's spirit that might be invited in. And possibly of the spirits of angels or demons (fallen angels)... or of Satan (another fallen angel).  Those are the spirits Christians are concerned with. A Christian can "see" these spirits at work in other people and in nations.  Not actually SEE them.. but it is a perception or "knowing" that comes from spiritual discernment.

   I feel that Christians can be insightful, by this I mean have knowledge of things because they have been with someone who has gone through an event or they themselves have gone through an event.  I am like you I don't believe in psysics or mediums either.  I am a nurse and have gone through death with patients, but I can't tell someone what will happen when they die because I have never died myself.  I can't tell them what heaven will be like.  I only know what I have read in the scriptures.  I feel that we as Christians have to be sensitive to what others are going through and support others through prayer and the Bible,l because this is where we gain our knowledge and support  We don't gain this from "spitrits" so to speak.  these being anything except the Holy spirit.

   Christians sensitive? Really, you're talking about awareness beyond what the body senses. This kind of awareness is part of what Christianity is all about. The everlasting life the founder of this religious movement talked about is about spiritual awakening. The self that one has to let die in order to gain this everlasting life, is the intangible, but thoroughly physical ego. Ego is the root of all evil in this world. Ego is what keeps the spirit asleep within its Homo sapiens temple.
   
   If one is not aware of their own spiritual half, they can never awaken--they can never be reborn. Simple as that! Many Christians think they can merely pay lip service to "believing" in Jesus, but it takes a lot more than that. Pity. Some think they're bound for Heaven, but they won't see the train when it pulls away from the station because they're not aware enough.
   
   I know that I am not yet aware enough, yet I've seen this universe without the aid of human eyes. No drugs, no trauma, no hallucination. Just me and God talking a walk without the need for Homo sapiens. I long to return there.

   I also don't believe in psychics or mediums, but maybe that's because I'm not sensitive enough to the spiritual world. Who knows.

      You are right, wormdo. I mean this lovingly. Try 20 mins Silence every morning and evening resolutely for 6 months. Be kind and serve your fellow man. You will notice changes. I have done this for 33 years. No one can do this for you. Peace.

   In becoming a believer and a follower of Christ - you accept a gift of supernatural grace.  Opening one's soul to that supernatural grace also opens said soul to supernatural evil.  That being said, I believe that there are those Christians who are very sensitive to the "spiritual" world.  The question then becomes - are those Christians listening closely for the voice of discernment that comes from the Holy Spirit and tells them what is and is NOT of God?  A soul open to God is open to the devil - and constant, vigilant prayer for the gift of discernment must accompany any request for "enlightenment."  Just as there IS a God, there is the devil.  We must pray constantly for the grace to recognize that which is of God and that which is not.

   Very interesting question, Yankee.
   Sensitivity I equate to the things that challenge the ego in a material sense.
   Sensitive in a spiritual sense can be what I call 'receptivity'. Here one is open to the Light and Love of God flowing in and through him. This is brought about by gratitude, service, purity and love of God.
   Still, advance spirituality can bring a kind of pain which is very real for the spiritual aspirant who shares not only in others joy, but also in their sorrows. Perhaps this is a kind of sensitivity.
