Actually, the Tower is a card that tells humans they have to stay what they are: humans. Too much pride is punished (see the Bank crisis last year) and we should not take ourselves as God.

This is not an absolutely negative card, since from ruin something better can rise - only when we learn something positive from our experiences and don't do the same mistakes over and over again. That is what the Tower teaches to us.

Obviously, the Tower has also a bad meaning but this can only be read while spreading the cards as the cards that surround the Tower have an influence on its meaning.
