What is the hardesd part of mathematics to learn and/or teach?

I think it is most difficult to teach developmental mathematics at a community college. There are so many missing holes that you must start from the beginning. Starting from the beginning with a 40+ year old can be a challenge. Plus the community college has a pretty open enrollment policy with no special education programs. I get those students as well even though I have no training in special education. Oh yeah, I get the ESL students as well.
