Riahgirl, you don't just "go get" powers of any kind. It may be hard for a child of the Internet Age to believe, you actually have to learn some things outside of the computer. GO TO A BOOKSTORE or a LIBRARY. No, I did not say go to Amazon.com, actually walk into a building that houses books, and "gain" a book on Wicca, Paganism, or Spirituality, whatever strikes your fancy. Although I think Tim was a bit harsh, he's somewhat right... the kind of powers you are looking for don't exist. Take some time to learn about your own natural power before looking for extras.

Well first, you must subject your body to a a powerful transformation. You see, in order to be a witch, it is essential that you be made of wood. Without this incredibly important prerequisite, you can never gain the powers of a witch.

p.s. if you have any sense of humor you should know exactly where this information is coming from. I'm going to assume that you are not posing this as a serious question unlike everyone else that answered that seems to believe you are simply a misguided and somewhat intellectually bereft teenager. Wait...all teenagers are misguided and intellectually bereft...Well anyway, have a nice day. Turn someone into a toad for me will you.

Becoming a witch or 'gaining witch powers' as you say, is not as easy as uploading software into your brain as they did in the Matrix and voila, you're a witch.

When you want to learn anything, the best approach is to study. Study whatever folk practices you can get your hands on - European folk magic, Siberian shamanism, modern and even ancient religion. Reading books is all well and good but after a while the only way to learn witchcraft is to live and practice it. Just as astrology was in the middle ages a precursor to the sciences from which it emerged, practicing magic is trial and error. Its about making mistakes (and you will) and learning from them (there's no guarantee that will happen though).

But you need to know that everything comes at a price. If you decide to walk down that road, you had better be able to deal physically, psychologically, and emotionally with the repercussions of your actions.

*sigh* Ok, I'm going to be nicer than the Tim dude, but I gotta tell ya, that made me wanna *headdesk*. But hey, we all started out as newbies at some point, so bear with me, ok?

You don't GAIN "witch powers". You're born with them. And by that I mean EVERYONE is born with them; it just depends on whether or not you're going to choose to develop them or not.

But if you're wanting "witch powers" so you can make like "The Charmed Ones" and go zapping demons, you might as well just hang it up. It doesn't work that way. You can't shoot sparks out your fingers, and looking at the chair and saying "Wingardum Leviosa!" and expecting it to rise up is just going to get you funny looks if anyone's around.

In other words, delete from your brain everything that Hollywood shows to be "real" witchcraft. About as close as it's gotten was a few things from the movie "The Craft" and even then it was just a huge lesson in what NOT to do. The witch who runs the store that the girls go to, who tried to teach the red-head some of the ethics and the Rule of Three was actually accurate. Other than that, nah.

And speaking of ethics, are you just wanting to learn magick so you can cast love spells to make a specific person fall in love with you or are you actually wanting to learn the ethics of magick? 'Cause if you're just another dabbler, then the hell with it. Dabblers don't do anything but make trouble. They're like toddlers with a loaded gun that ends up shooting everyone else and then themselves because they don't know how the hell to handle something like that.

Magick should NEVER be used to manipulate, cause harm, or ANYTHING negative. If you do a spell for someone else, you ALWAYS get their permission first, because you NEVER do any magick on someone without their consent. Manipulation is a HUGE no no.

You wanna start learning about Witchcraft? Start with Silver RavenWolf "To Ride A Silver Broomstick" and Ellen Dugan "Elements of Witchcraft: Natural Magick for Teens". Also "Teen Witch" by Silver RavenWolf is a good one. They're great books for beginners.

And just know that if you're serious about it, it takes WORK. Anything worthwhile takes work. If you expect to accomplish anything, you're going to have to work your butt off.

These powers are within. It takes true study and belief for them to come through. A word of advice- do not be commercial and do not advertise too much! a private journey

okay...i have been a practicing witch for years. let me tell you something. these are NOT the things you see on tv. you are not

going to fly or become invisible. witches do NOT have "powers"s

this is something that is in all of us. these are things controlled by the power of the mind and the power of your faith. the tools used are to help with the concentration of the process. now to let someone tell you witches dont exist...dont listen to that crap. that is pretty much like saying that there is no such thing as catholics....

Hey, I am in the same situation as you. But being an "apprentice" witch means that you need to STUDY! *laugh* okay but seriously study helps alot. Lets you connect better with the elements. I , also, suggest some mediations and find a local coven and get and elder in the coven to help you!

if you do not have the gift it is unlikely you will find it. if you open doors to the spiritual realm in your life, be prepared for the consequences of your actions. if your looking for the left hand path look up Crowley learn to dream walk, and walking with the dead, get the grimiores and study them. wicca is fluff. Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law. but don't say i didn't warn you.
