Why is my clothes dryer making a high pitched noise? We just had the "fried" circuit breaker wire replaced.

I not sure. But right now i am dealing with my dryer doing the same thing. The guy next door told me its an old dryer belt that is making the noise... sometimes it gets so loud that i just turn the thing off lol.
