Londongirl, I would love to visit London one day, but I've read and heard from many people how expensive a place it is to visit. Maybe you could do a hub on Visiting London on a Dime!

A London visit on the cheap: 5 free ideas for family activities & museums

London is quite an expensive city. But don't despair! There are also a lot of things to do in London which can be great fun for a family outing, and yet are free. "You find no man, at all intellectual, who is willing to leave London. No, Sir, when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford." keep reading →

Londongirl. Can't help you on visiting on a dime but I can tell you about the best place to go that is free. That would be the Royal British Library. Read my hub about London, Arizona for more info.

One tip: A lot of youth hostels and guesthouses in London offer kitchens for guest use. Since you're not missing too much by skipping an English restaurant meal or two, you might as well save some money by popping over to the supermarket and picking up ingredients for a few meals. You can easily cut your dining budget in half this way, and eat healthier at the same time.

Also, never ever get in a taxi; the fares are simply frightful. Take the bus or train to town from the airport. Learn how to use the tube (underground rail system), and if you're a night owl, the night buses. With a daily or weekly pass you get both for a flat rate. The all-zones pass sold to tourists may not be your best option, because the vast majority of tourist sights are in zones 1 and 2 which can be covered with a cheaper pass.

I'd say go local for some live action. Remember that this is a great place for live music with some fantastic local venues that wont cost an arm and leg. There is more than the huge venues where global stars are booked. There are plenty of free gigs happening in bars all around. Look in Camden, Fulham or Brixton for some interesting nightlife that taps you into the life of the city. Local gigs are listed in Time Out. Go for it! You could find yourself sitting in the same bar as Amy Winehouse & Co. And let's face it, people watching is one of the best things about going out and shaking it all about.

To reduce expenses you have to live in other living avenues other than Hotels such as different types of hostel and food either by self made or purchasing in piece item.

I have just posted a blog on this topic, and plan to post many more. I last visited London in September, and spent less than $2,000 for 10 days, including accommodation. If I had traveled with a friend, it would have been even less, since we could have split the cost of the flat I rented. As others have noted, having your own kitchen is a huge money-saver, and transportation is also another area that can eat up your budget quickly. The key is to step out of the tourist track and live like a local, just as you do at home.

Yes. Even less than for a dime you can visit London. That too from India. Simple.......Do you have a sleeping habit? If so, you should have a habit of dreaming also while sleeping. Please follow the instruction given below carefully, before going to sleep.

1) Read more about London before going to sleep.

2) Even a video program will be fine where London and its places are well described.

3) Think about such places before going to sleep and now you can go for sleep.

You will see London for free.

How is it?
