Google planning to buy Twitter would be in line with Google's obvious desire to completely dominate the Internet, beating out their rivals Microsoft Corp and Yahoo! just as they bought Youtube, for a ridiculous price of - was it $1.6 billion? - they might seize Twitter where people are going in flocks to chat and even now to market products to their followers... The rumor has been around for awhile. In April of this year, some tech mags were saying Google had made an offer, but Twitter refused. Nothing new has surfaced in several months.
