Cats do not like change, even when it's accidental. My cat patches climbed 20 feet up a tree, when the neighborhood dog "Happy" (who was harmless) got loose. Even when "Happy" was brought inside by his owner, Patches would not come down. I needed to get a ladder and pull him out of the tree myself. For some reason, Patches got himself into a predicament, where he didn't recognize his surroundings, and was afraid to move. In cases like this, we need to take charge, because our cat's have entered the scary world of the unknown, and need our help.
