Loading... How do I get rid of sever neck pain?
I have been dealing with severe neck pain for 2 years and ice and heat only help sometimes. My fiance' got me a tempripedic mattress and pillow, but I just got the pillow yesterday so don't know if its helping yet. I don't want to take pain pills and I get my neck adjusted every 3 weeks but what else can I do? I went thru physical theory and it didn't help. I've had it x-rayed and it looks fine so I don't understand the pain. If I put pressure on my neck, like when I lay down, I will actually feel the nerves and muscles move and jump in my feet and legs!

See a qualified and experienced osteopath, who can look at your whole spine, in fact your whole body - in conjunction with your lifestyle, eg your workstation, etc. Longer term the lifestyle changes will probably be key, even things like a handbag rather than a shoulder bag may help - good luck
