Fox in Sox. It's the hardest Dr. Seuss book to read out loud, especially the part about Luke Luck liking and licking a lake. The tiny, simple words in the story may be ones I've used a million times in my life so far, but tackling that book would still feel like a challenge -- a harder one, probably, than a real Tweetle Beetle battle.

Bartholomew and the Oobleck has got to be my favorite. Humble Bartholomew Cubbins takes on the power that be and show old King Derwin of Did that he's made a very bad decision while seeking novelty in the weather. It is also incredible on the story record I listened to in the 1960s!

My favorite is the terrific tongue twister tales contained in O Say Can You Say? I was already having children of my own by the time I tried wrapping my tongue around these twisted tidbits and mine and my childrens favorite to this day remains The Fleas Cheese Trees rhyme. "Through three cheese trees three free fleas flew. While these fleas flew freezy breeze blew. Freezy breeze made these trees cheese freeze. Maybe that's what made these fleas sneeze."

How the Grinch Stole Christmas...plus the movies--cartoon AND Ron Howard's human version. It just wouldn't be Christmas if I didn't hear the Whos singing at the end. Classic.
