Considering our economic times, if you were to become homeless tomorrow, what would you take with you if you had no storage place?

I would take a family album, important documents, a bible, a suitcase full of clothes and toiletries (and my medications!). I would take a good attitude and thank God that I still have my life! I would take my tinkerbell blanket and a pillow too!

My dog. His food, oh, and my husband if he's been good.
Sorry, I know you probably didn't want a flippant answer.
Actually, I'd take the really important things like the dog, my hubby, food, minimum clothing, my ID documents, a resume, and hopefully a good enough attitude to get hired somewhere.
Fitting my Life in a Suitcase

I'm sure we would try to be practical and take things that we would need. I would be seriously depressed to lose my computers and my musical instruments but anything that could be sold would be sold. I would take warm clothing, a disk with all of our information on it and some paper documents. Any medicines and something that looked innocent that I could use as a weapon if I had to.

Your important documents. Medication including headache pills. A candy bar and chips. Candy because it raises a low blood sugar level. Chips because they help to soothe an upset stomach.
Basic necessities such as a razor, drinking cup, undergarments, at least two changes of clothes, and a blanket.

I could literally become homeless on 8/4. My home is in foreclosure and my credit is a mess so who will rent to me? I think I would take my pictures-at least as many as I could carry because they are irreplaceable. Everything else-furniture, clothing, jewelry can all be replaced eventually. I'm very afraid for my future and that of my family. I hope I do not end up selling everything I own. But I would if I had to.

Socks and Underwear... Literally, I've lived in the shelters before, those are very hard to find. And Cigarettes because they are pretty much currency (You think I'm joking here, but it's solid truth!)

Family photos... My mother died 4 years ago and because I loved her so dearly I could never part with the photos of my family.

A few changes of clothes, all important documents, especially those which can identify me and my place of birth; car keys, glasses, cell phone, pictures, money and/or credit cards.
