it most likely means you are pregnant, a false positive is rare. take another test to be sure, but i'm fairly certain you are indeed pregnant. the same thing happened to me with my third pregnancy and when i took another test, it showed up more vividly. it could be that your urine was a little more diluted than when you test first thing in the morning. good luck and if you are pregnant, congratulations!

Even if you see a faint line, it usually means you're pregnant. Like Meg78 said, the faint line could mean that your urine could be diluted, but most likely it is because you are early on in your pregnancy.

Pregnancy tests measure Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) in a woman's urine. HGC is a hormone produced by the placenta after a fertilized egg has been implanted. Some tests are more sensitive than others. Concentrations of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) are reported in milliInternational Units (mIU). Tests with a sensitivity of 20 mIU are accurate earlier than tests with a sensitivity of 50 or 100 mIU.

At 10 days after ovulation, a pregnant woman's hCG levels should be around 25 mIU. At 12 days they are about 50 mIU. As you can see, levels gain quickly-doubling about every two days.

If you want to retest, check what the sensitivity of your test was and buy a test with a lower mIU detection, or just wait a few days to retest. In a few days your hCG number should increase if you're pregnant making the line darker.

If you still are unsure, make an appointment with your OB; they will be able to give you a blood test to be certain. It's a good idea to make that appointment anyway if you are pregnant to get started with good prenatal care. Good luck!

A line is a line. Regardless of which line is heavier than the other, you are most likely pregnant. "Probably" doesn't quite apply to this situation. See a doctor, get a blood test, take care of yourself and have a healthy and happy nine months!

FROM MY EXPERIENCE KAYLEIGHDEANNA AS LONG AS YOU READ THE TEST IN CORRECT TIME FRAME. MEANING MOST TEST YOU WILL GET THE RESULT IN LIKE 1MIN. BUT MOST SUGGEST THAT YOUR WAIT ATLEAST 3-5MINS. AFTER THAT DON'T READ THE RESULTS. IT CAN BE A FALSE NEGATIVE OR FALSE POSITIVE. SO AS LONG AS YOU FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS. AND POSSIBLY MISSED A PERIOD ALREADY. SWEETHEART YOU ARE MOST LIKELY PREGNANT. THE SECOND LINE ON THE PREGNANCY TEST MAJORITY OF THE TIME IS LIGHTER COMPARED TO THE 1ST LINE. TO BE ON THE SAFE BEFORE YOU GET YOUR HOPES UP HIGH, TAKE PREGANANCY TEST THAT READS POSITIVE/NEGATIVE. MAYBE EVEN A +OR A - SIGN. IF YOU THINK YOUR ARE PREGNANT MAKE A DOCTORS APPOINTMENT WITH YOUR GYN CLINIC. YOUR CAN VISIT YOUR LOCAL PLANPARENTHOOD. HOPE EVERYTHING WORKS OUT FOR YOU.
