Are you asking if there are hubs that are written about more mature manga and more mature comics? Manga or comic hubs that might make you uncomfortable?
There could be hubs that discuss manga like gekiga or seinen which is manga for mature guys and hentai which is pretty much pornographic...
versus shonen manga which is written for boys like you who are under 18.
I know there are comics that are written for older guys, too, but aren't necessarily designated this way. Watchmen for one. It is on young adult shelves and I have been told by a very astute manga reader that these are for older readers.
If this is your question, adamroll13 would know better than I which comic or manga hubs you might want to avoid. Or shortsalesmvp might write another answer for you.

The difference between manga and comics isn't about maturity for its audience.
Most of the content for manga, or popular ones, has been catered for teenagers in Japan, and hence it cannot be explicitly mature.
Hence, just like comics, manga has generally been catered for youths.
As there are adult comics, so there are adult mangas as well.
Actually, the exact meaning for manga is comics, just that manga is the romanized form of comics in kranji.
If you are asking about the main difference between a comic and a manga, it likes with the panelling.
Notice that western comics, like calvin and hobbes, the panels normally run from left to right and it's always the same sized squares.
Unlike western comics, manga adopted dynamic panelling where it tries to introduce cinematics within the novel. Some panels are big, where it emphasizes on big things, while some panels are small. Some panels only focus on the emotions of the character, while others are into the fight.
So it leaves one to imagine the cinematics that is provided from the author, and not just reading the words or seeing the situation of what the author is trying to say.
Or in layman terms, manga tries to inject cinematics into its story, while comics don't do that.

There is a big difference in art styles between Manga, which is more stylized (exaggerated) and American comics, which tend to be more "realistic". There are also quite a few serious differences between the two types of comics. Some of the differences, just to mention a few of them are the cost, creation, diverse audience and genres, presentation and even size.
The creation of Manga as well as its presentation is quite different than American Comics. Manga is printed in black-and-white format while American comics are the majority of the time in full color. Also, when you look at a graphic novel or Manga you will notice a difference in the size. Manga is frequently smaller than traditional American comic books, usually digest-size and roughly half to one-third the size of American comics. But where the American comics are generally thin like a small magazine, running about 32 pages, Manga comic books are thick and can be hundreds of pages in length!
In page count, Manga is quite similar to graphic novels, which are often just collections of the ongoing American comics. But unlike American graphic novels, which are usually just a collection of monthly comics in a single unified story or story arc, Manga books are often apart of an even bigger story and a complete Manga storyline can run thousands of pages.
Another difference between traditional American comics is that mainstream American comics are often created in a sort of assembly-line fashion. They have a writer (story), a penciler (initial sketch), inker (uses a pen to ink over the sketch), letterer (adds dialog) and a colorist (colors the inked sketch). Most Manga books are done by a single creator, who combines all those chores (except coloring).
Hope that helps

Well you could say that mangas are comics and comics are mangas because they both are acknoledged as graphic novels and they both tell stories of superheroes, heroens, or just regular people who come upon something spectacular. If you really want to get technical though the only real difference between the two is that mangas originate in japan where as comics are usually american. That is also the reason why mangas are so much more mature, they originate in japan and for some reason most animes, mangas and art in japan is highly more mature or has an overwhelming underlining message behind it.
