Have you ever had a 'paranormal' experience?
By paranormal, I mean anything from seeing or hearing ghosts, experiencing psychic phenomena, UFO sightings, encounters with strange creatures, or even just excessive cases of deja-vu. If it's beyond

I have a lot of Deja-vu experiences. I'll be in a situation and I know exactly what the next sequence of events would be. Weird.....
Also, I always have someone tap me on the shoulder. I look back and no ones there. I start to think I must be going cuckoo. So weird...
Paranormal Activity and Anormal Psychology
At the moment I am earning my living by selling kitchens and bathrooms in the north of england which does not suggest any potential for psychic phenomena. However, it transires that the people I have been... keep reading →

I've had several "paranormal" experiences in my life. For a great part of my child hood I grew up in a house that was 300 years old. In the Celtic part of Germany. The thing that facinates me is the cultural differences in the acceptance of these types of occurances. I come from a multi-cultural family (Eskimo, American Indian Scot and Irish) and have traveled a great deal, what I have personally noticed is the older the culture the more accepting it is of these types of experiences.

All of my life, since I can remember. I grew up thinking it was normal, and didn't realize I was fairly rare until I started school. The list is too long to go into here.

I had an experience when my wife was pregnant with our first child. We were staying at my in-laws house and our cat was acting very strangely. He was just staring at us, but it wasn't "him". I just kept watching him and he finally came up to both of us and "snuggled" us (which he never once did with my wife) and then he ran out of the room. Later that night my mother-in-law informed us that my wife's late father was in the room with us earlier and wanted us to know that everything was okay with the baby and he didn't know how to get our attention.

All my life I have had them. Ghosts tap me on the shoulder, shadow people pass by or loom over me. The deja vu is the worst. Sometimes my basement smells like cigar smoke and neither I nor my husband smoke. I have seen a lot of strange entities during out of body experiences and astral projections, including what look like the kind of beings that abductees often describe when they remember their abductions. Sometimes when I look into different peoples' eyes, I see images of them in another place and time, far removed from here.
I find that the reason it seems so odd is that we've been indoctrinated by society and by various religions to think that these activities are strange and unusual, when in fact they are very natural occurrences and some people are more receptive than others.
My first real paranormal experience
I have experienced the paranormal since I was a little girl. My mother who practiced black magic, yes there is a difference contrite to what other people say! Our house was full of shadow walkers, that’s... keep reading →

Once I was doing an english project on epitaphs - not my idea. I borrowed my grandfather's camera that instantly develops pics. (This was in the 70's). So, I am walking around the cemetary taking pics of tombstones, right? I know this sounds unbelievable - but I had nearly collected all that I needed and I was back to where I left the car, when I thought I would take one more picture of a double stone. I snapped the picture, and laid it on the top of the stone, and walked over to another one and was reading it, when I glanced back at the picture on the stone to see if it was developing alright. The picture looked good, however, something else was beginning to show. It appeared to be a small man, about three feet tall if he had been standing. He was sitting, rather perched, upon the double tombstone, and he was smiling and holding one had up, as if waving. His face, or what I could see of it, looked kind of mean and his ears were pointed. I turned the pic in with my english project and the teacher commented that it must have been an image that bled over from another picture. I knew that was not the case......

Yes, many paranormal experiences of all kinds. These experiences are quite common on the reservation. In fact, our healing methods include them. I have always thought that these sorts of things are really just natural, but the prevalent society and cultural norms deny this. I hope one day science will be able to take away the negative connotations related to the paranormal. I've written many articles about the paranormal which occurs naturally in my Native American culture. They are posted on my website in the Blog section. http://www.NativeTalismanArt.com

I myself believe that I witnessed this strange phenomenon.
One night in the middle somewhere, I awoke and before me was a white figure, no facial outlines, I can remember feeling the outlines but not seeing them, there was no arms or legs but again I sensed them being there, really like an outline of a human. So here I am in what we call a catch 22 situation
I now know 100% that there is a spiritual world out there. I of course realised it could have been a practical joke and thought my eyes were deceiving me so I through a pillow at it (?) and from white to black in that instant got me wondering.
Paranormal experiences - seem very normal nowadays or does it?
Paranormal experiences are they a common thing or not is not the reason i'm writing this hub, in part its because of my own personal experiences and also because some hubber asked this question. If any of... keep reading →
