There is only one God, people have different names for it... It's interpretations of the same entity.
There Are Many Religions On This Earth. Why Can't We Have One God?
God is one - its just that we know Him by different names. The many religions of the world came into being because of man - not because God wanted so many religions to crop up. If one were to ask God, I... keep reading →

One God, Jesus Christ the Son of God, and The Holy Spirit. The Trinity, One in the same. I know of no other!

We do have just one God. He is our Father in heaven, and also the Father of Jesus Christ.

We have many Gods because we have many religions. No one organized the people and told them to start their religion from the same God. The Romans were very comfortable with the fact that other people had their own Gods. We now seem to have the need to convince everyone that our God is the right God. If you believe that your God is almighty then he or she doesn't need your help to win friends and influence people. We don't have to push our beliefs on others.

We do have one God,reason why we have many religions its because of our world views of who God is,or ignorance of a true God

Religion is the greatest weapon of Lucifer! Division! What religion WAS Jesus Christ? A house divided will always fall. Unified front? PLEASE! Humans all lose when it comes to ORGANIZED religions. Every religion KNOWS that only IT is right! What is wrong with THAT scenario? Peace.
Sure there is one GOD
I have a hard time understanding why people feel the need to believe that there is more than one GOD. Using a logical argument if any one believe in GOD they should know that there can only be one. I will ask... keep reading →

Even before the rise of Monotheism, there have been conflicts between people of different faiths.
But especially in the last few thousand years with the rise of Judaism, Islam and Christianity the ante got upped.
If you already believed in Zeus, Hera and a host of other gods up on mount Olympus, and some stranger came along talking about some other god, it was easy enough to just mentally add him to your already-large pantheon of belief.
Monotheism created the idea of "one true god," which suddenly made all those other gods false.
Today there are many like you Jae, from all faiths, who look at any and all religion, and see them all as just different names and faces on the same entity, kind of an 'all roads eventually converge' kind of religious view.
Of course there are factions from virtually all faiths who, sometimes violently, do not accept other faiths whatsoever.
I don't really have an answer, just wanted to share my background view, and say that it'd be a better world if more people didn't mingle their hate with their religion.

Why can't we have one god he asks?
You do have one god - the Devil and he is the only solitary god, the god of this world, and he is the god of all religions, including blasphemous Islam and Judaism and the satanic Christian Religion.
The Godhead is two - a duality - The Father and The Son. There is no other Godhead and yes they are number one (none above) and they are one in thought and deed - totally likeminded, but still two beings.
The Son sits at the right hand of The Father in heaven - TWO GODS, NOT ONE.
Following The Lord Jesus Christ is not religion - period.

Because we don't have just one brain. If we had a hive mind, the queen would pick our deity and the rest of us would go along with it. Humanity just isn't built that way.
If one accepts Judaism, Christianity, or Islam it makes perfect sense that there is one God. But what if you don't? I read, 'Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD' and I think, "I'm not Israel. The LORD your God is not my God. But thanks just the same." I'm supposed to accept this God because your book says so, and the book is the word of god because the book says that, too. Um? No. And this same book also says to put no other god before God, suggesting that there are indeed other gods. What if I get along better with one of them?
"Why are Islamics wrong in the eyes of Christans and vice versa."
Because each group believes itself to be right. And if you're right, those who come along with a different answer are generally viewed as wrong.

There is only one God but people will have you think otherwise. The many religions comes from the mind of many people. here are some interesting definitions; (1) The service and worship of God or the supernatural. (2)Commitment or devotion to religious faith or observane.
Man has always had a desire some where down in him to worship God as they think they know him. It takes more faith to be an athiest then it is to believe in a God of some sort. I heard the story of a man that said he did not believe in God that when he wsa confronted with a near death experience, he shouted out "OH GOD, HELP ME"
The God that I worship said, "I Am God There is none other God beside me" Nobody has been able to refute that or show me another God like mine. Pick up a Bible and discover Him for yourself.
