Bard of Ely says
They are very beautiful and more wonders of creation. In the UK where I come from we had Butterwort, Bladderwort and Sundew species. The first caught insects on its sticky leaves, the second caught tiny water insects and crustaceans in its underwater bladders and the third caught its prey with sticky hairs. The Butterwort and Sundew live in boggy ground and the Bladderwort in pools. All are endangered now by the destruction of their habitats.
Where I live now there are no endemic carnivorous plants but various types of Pitcher Plant are often grown in botanic gardens.
