Would you be willing to relocate to China to pursue an acting career?

Not me, unless the $$$ was ubelievable and I could be assured of my safety as much as possible. I'm pretty much a stay in the USA lady. I've never traveled to any other country except Canada (border area only) and Mexico, border area.

While I am interested in traveling to Europe or even parts of South America and Africa, I'm pretty timid, especially in today's world.

I know little about China, and would have to do research and talk to people who are there or have been there before I would even consider being that far away. Leave my family and relatives and all that is familiar? Not unless I was young and beautiful, with safety not a concern.

As they used to say when we'd cross over into Mexico...."Don't drink the water..." hey, I'm only teasing....

I think that there are a lot of different factors to consider when asking this question from what's keeping where you are currently, to what your job security in China is going to be like.

I think China is a very interesting country, and it were me, and acting were my thing, I would be willing to relocate, at least for a little while.

Take my opinion with a grain of salt though, I'm young, with few attachments, and am currently teaching Engish for a year in Korea. I have a few hubs about living in Asia if your interested, although none of them are about China.

Bottom line: Depending on your personality etc. I think you should go for it. I would be willing to under the right circumstances.

I really don't know. Probably not. I would have to have some money up front. I keep my own passport. Also it would have to be for a famous or well know director.

Yes because if acting is your passion then it doesn't matter where you go as long as you are doing what you love doing.
