One of the best ways to lose body fat with cardio is by doing interval training. As spinning usually involves long duration of exercise for a prolonged time, you may risk losing some of your lean muscle mass. (You need muscles to burn body fat).
To avoid this, supplement with a protein shake (whey protein is best) and also include weight training to reverse the effect of too much cardio.
So if your goal is to lower your body fat percentage, doing weight training and interval training will get you there as well as including a good quality lean protein in your diet.
