HubPages has nothing to do with Payment except for Hubs which are qualified for the Capstone Hubs Program. A writer in HubPages makes money by writing content rich hubs and monetizing it through adsense, amazon and ebay. The Payment from the said companies can be through cheque or paypal or direct remit depending on the country you live in.
