According to the BBC (UK) - "worldwide there have been 19,315 confirmed swine flu cases in 66 countries, with 117 deaths - all in Mexico and the US."

But most countres recognise that there could be anywhere between double and ten times that number of cases, because so many go unreported.

Panic is not justified. Its time to be alert. The best way to keep away swine, is to rejuvenate immune system. To know more, read my hubs here on hub pages,.Titled "keep away swine flu; rejuvenate your body immune system naturally " & "Rejuvenate Immune System to cure Diabetes and Cancer"

Too many in my estimation. The panic should not be. Just get prepared for this flu season now. I just wrote a hub concerning this very subject. As far as the numbers....we are not being given the correct numbers on this, selenamiler, the count is much higher than this....bigmikeh, I would think that you are on the right track here, but this issue is a touchy one. We are not being told - please read my hub..And be prepared for this season.

The swine flu has definitely been over hyped. It is a time to be cautious, especially with the next flu season coming up soon, but the media has really exaggerated the current potential threat. With some 43,000 cases of H1N1 in the U.S. alone and only a few hundred deaths here, most related to underlying health conditions, I don't think anyone here should be panicking just yet.

I not quite sure how many throughout the world but here inFinland we have had 21 cases diagnosed and all of these people have just come back from the states or Mexico, but i think to die from it you have to be old or very young.

There is no need of panic in this situation. Take all precaution and have faith. This is curable disease and enough medicine is available across the world.

Don't get panic, just take proper care.

Don't go to affected areas.

If you are already in affected area then please do not move out of it.

Well, the current estimation from the WHO is that 3205 people have died, but it's really anyone's guess.

Many countries have stopped encouraging ppl to report to their local doctors, and many die of normal flu. The main concern is if the virus mutates, which happened with most of the worst pandemics. Most authorities are still more concerned about bird flu as it had a much higher kill rate, particularly the healthy.
