No, the Virgin Mary was Jesus's mother. Mary Magdalene was one of his followers.
Born Again 05 says
Two completely different people. Mary was the mother of Jesus. Mary Magdalene was a woman who had seven demons which Jesus called out. She supported Christ's ministry, was at His crucifixion and burial, and was also the first person to see the risen Lord.

Mary Magdalene and Mother Mary both were at the tomb to find Jesus was not there. I forgot who told them that they won't find him at the tomb for he is risen. They are two different people, hence the controversy between Mary Magdalene being married to Jesus or not to some people due to Da Vinci Code :)
