Is TASTE OF THE WILD Dog Food safe for my Boxer?

I have been feeding my 3 year old Boxer Pedigree dry and canned food. After i did research and found the poisons and GARBAGE they put in it.i put my Boxer on TASTE OF THE WILD kibble. Is it BETTER than Pedigree? is it safe? i want my boy to live longer than ten years, and i feel i may have gave him a death sentence with the food you buy at the grocery.I am a confused old man, that thought he was doing the best for his Boxer. Could you please let me know any info you have on TASTE OF THE WILD dog food? thank you so much

I have fed both my Rotties Taste of the Wild for months and they both loved it. Unfortunately they do not carry it where I just moved to. Each dog of course responds differently to different dog foods so it is hard to tell how your dog will react to it. But my experience was great. The first weeks it took a while for my dog's stomach to adjust but then they appeared more energetic and their coat was glossy.

By looking at the label (and at the price tag) you can tell that TOTW is a premium dog food. It does not contain grains, which is a big advantage and plus compared to other dog foods. It has high protein content and it is one of the closest foods in kibble form you can get that resembles what dogs used to eat in the wild. Here is their website for more info:http://www.tasteofthewildpetfood.com/

I've heard of this food but from what I've heard the best dog food out there is called Royal Canin, and the last time i went to petco they have it for some specific breeds and the boxer is one, it comes in Large breed, Gaint breed, boxer, german sheppard and a few others. I had my dog on it for a while but its really pricey, so I've been mixing it with a purina one because my great dane eats a good amount of food. The Royal Canin has a website that you can even register your dog on. Well I hope I helped

Taste of the Wild is an excellent food. Many of my clients feed this food and have reported great things. If you dog has food allergies this is the food to go with, and it won't break the bank which is nice. I would consider using the Salmon blend simply because the protein content is lower. Check out the website dog food analysis.

TOTW is a great food.... Not sure where you live, but Agway ( a natural feed store) carries great foods for cats and dogs. I would stay away from "retail" petstores; they don't seem to be carrying the best food lately. I feed Merrick (Before Grain) as well as the raw diet to my dogs. Merrick is high in human grade ingedients and low in fillers!!! Just try to stay away from dog foods that you can't pronouce the ingedients or if they have a lot of corn, wheat, rice (any grain). A couple of my friends feed TOTW and have had great results as well!!! Good Luck!
