If Ada & Eve were really the first people then why do they have belly buttons in all paintings?

Wouldn't an umbilical cord be unnecessary? Wouldn't that then mean a mother is present and then wouldn't she be the first person?

Because it would go against the deeply ingrained ideas of the artists, who often pride themselves on creating realistic human figures, to paint human figures minus belly buttons. The real question is: How many paint in-sies and how many paint outies?
