I am not tring to brag but since it works like that in the United States what about Japan what do you think?

Mirelma you are wrong about manga, manga has been around longer than America the japanese monks use to draw manga images in their books a long time ago manga was not created because of Disney ,or American comics,at least not the style of Manga anyway.Manga and anime comics was influenced.but the style of manga has been around for a very long time.

Even having lived a long time in Japan, I've never seen anyone reading U.S. comics. II've seen the English versions of some comics in collectors' shops, but I've never seen a Japanese translation of any of them. The closest thing I've seen to this are books about how to draw "amekomi" (American Comics) characters.

If there are people reading them here, they must be reading them in English, thus we're talking about a small percentage of Japanese people (a small percentage of comic book fans out of the small percentage of people who read English well enough to understand them in English).

It's a shame because I think Japanese translations of some of these would sell here. The movie Watchmen came out in Japan a few months ago, but as far as I know, there is no Japanese version of the graphic novel.

In fact, it is said amongst the most hardcore anime/manga fans that the Japanese started creating anime/manga after Disney became such a huge hit in the U.S. Even some of the older anime/manga does in fact resemble some of what we might see in old Disney animation films and in old American comics. Of course, what I say is pure speculation and rumor...but in answer to your question...yes, I'm sure they do.

I have not done a survey of all the people in Japan so I can't say that everyone in Japan READS Batman comics but they are available if you want them. The Japanese can, indeed, get them. I know that for a fact.

It doesn't really matter if anyone "votes" one way or another in the case of my answer. i don't know if they all read them BUT they can get them!
