Do Women Believe A Bad Husband Is Better Than None At All?

No doubt there might be some women who believe this to be true. Society pressures single people to marry. Some women might feel that since they have arrived at a certain age without getting married there is something wrong with them. Parents, friends, relatives make comments that might be hurtful or disturbing to the single person. This might cause a woman to go into marriage more for the sake of conforming to societal expectations than from a conviction that she has found the right person. If a woman has positive self-esteem and confidence in her ability to competently deal with life she will be less likely to fall prey to societal pressure.

Marriage should be carefully planned for and entered into with clear understanding of its meaning, and full commitment to its responsibilities. There are too many miserable lives that have resulted from individuals entering into marriage for the wrong reason.

Marriage can be a blessing or a curse, and individuals have the power to decide which it will be. More time needs to be spent on preparing for marriage than that which is spent on preparing for the wedding. A single man or woman who is whole in body, soul, and spirit is better off than a married man or woman who entered into marriage hastily and for the wrong reasons.

I personally do not believe that a bad husband is better than none at all! Think about it...that's twice the work, effort, and patience a wife must have that would not be necessary if she had a positive participating spouse, or did it herself!
