Why people fear? How to overcome it?

We fear because we don't understand many things in life. We also fear because there is much we don't have control over.The Bible tells us that the perfect love of God "casts out fear". Once we understand that, fear is diminished because if God is for us- who can be against us?

People fear because life can be overbearing as well as unfair and some people allow themselves to be consumed by its pressures. But at the end of the day you have to stand up to some of them if not all...try that and you will see how things start to pan out.

Fear in natural and healthy. A person having no fear is likely to endanger himself and others depending on him. A certain degree of fear is necessary to make us sensible and weigh our actions looking and judging all the pros and cons involved in them.

A fear of God liberates Man from all sort of other fears whatsoever. A God-fearing person does not fear anyone. The fear of God helps him become stronger to resist the temptation of satan and all other evils.

But excessive and unnecessay fear of doing certian things is indeed very destructive and eroding. It erodes the talent of a fearful and shy person like termite erodes wood. It is said that that if you want to overcome your fear, start doing the things you fear. If a child fear to go in dark, he must go to dark room to get rid of this unimportant fear.

People fear what they:

1) Don't understand enough about

2) Understand a lot about something or someone worthy of fear or respect

3) Because we are human and have emotions to help us survive the unknown, those greater than us and anything that can lead to our demise.

How to overcome is to face what you fear, through knowledge, acceptance and courage. When fears are faced they lose some of their fear factor by the fact that we become a little larger than when we first encountered the thing we were fearful of.

Scary things are just that scary. The fear they instill can be used to empower us for greater things if we approach with a strong sense of caution, courage and respect.

Fear is only a spirit from Satan that is created by doubt being repetedly over and over in your heart and mind. So much so, that you yourself start to believe that you can not do or it is not possible.

But, if we stay focused on the word of God and his promises to us, we will be able to cast down all fears! and we have the victory in Jesus Holy Name. Amen
