Same way you would raise any other breed. Doberman were created by a tax-collector named Doberman as protection while he was walking with large sums of money. He also wanted to be able to take the dog home with him at night, so they were not originally as ferocious as most people think. After years of being service dogs, they were known for being extremely loyal, and fierce, yet regal dogs. Anyway, after decades of breeding, they are not used as guard dogs as often as they were. Most people want them as pets now, and breeders have been able to "tame" them, for lack of a better word. Always insist on meeting the parents, if you are getting your dog from a breeder, as they can tell you what their offspring will be like. All dogs have their own personalities, but doberman are often an extremely loyal, well-behaved, family pet.
