It's a matter of taste of course, but to go by their metacritic score, then the Half Life series, BioShock, Baldur's Gate 2, Command & Conquer and GTA: Vice City are in the top tier. (I excluded "Out of the Park Baseball 2007", don't know how that got in there) ;)

The best game of all times is Football Manager. For me the only game really addicted.
But also Formula 1 Grand Prix is extremely real, for people who likes this sport is something really outstanding.
Other game i must talk about is SIMS, that is already in 3rd version. Millions of people plays that game.
