You can find most of the answers to your questions in the Hubpages Official FAQ, as well as the learning center. These are excellent resources for new writers.
For example, they address information security here: http://hubpages.com/faq/#hpads-security
There is a link to the learning center in the footer and the FAQ is the Help link top right.
