flagWhy I Go Bra Free
Bras have become such an fundamental part of women's wardrobes that most women never even consider not wearing one. Many women are therefore very surprised to learn that the modern brassiere is quite a recent... keep reading →

Back in the late sixties it was 'the thing to do" as a statement against the male dominated society. There were actual protests for women's rights where women burned their bras! I went braless for over a year - and shocked my parents and in-laws - I think that was part of the thrill at the time - it was the most rebellious thing I ever did.
Over time I went back into 'bondage' and as the 'girls' started sagging I really needed the support! Then I had a mastectomy and I have to wear a bra as I didn't have reconstructive surgery so need my 'falsie' to look normal.

Yes, I do go shopping once in a while without wearing a bra. It just feels nice to not have my breasts strapped up in a tight undergarment. It makes me feel free and relaxed.
Men seem to like it also!!!

A womans breasts change after having children. I enjoy going out without a bra, but I haven't had children yet.. maybe I won't be able to do that after having children. Some woman can get away with it more than others, it depends on their breasts.

I for one could not go anywhere without a bra, my breasts are too big. I don't think other women should either, it just don't look right.

I only wear a bra when I go to work. Otherwise, I find it very uncomfortable. Well, hard to see that I don't wear one ;-)

Bra's are an investment item. I don't go shopping without a bra because I like for my clothes to fall seamlessly over my figure. I actually like to go shopping in my favorite strapless bra because then I can get an idea of exactly how my clothes will look when I go out.

Ever since I first "came into" my breasts, they have been small. The only exception was during pregnancy and breastfeeding (short as that was due to medical problems for both of us) I have necer found bras comfortable.
Now i'm in my mid 40s and why they have changed shape a bit, they're pretty much the same breasts I've had since I was 13 and they still don't sag.
So, with the rare exception of when I wear a corset for historical costuming, or a particularly thin top, I go bra free in everything I do.
It has actually been considered healthier for some women - I wouldn't recommend it for a large breasted woman who finds going brales to painful. To each their own.
Dr. Gordon says
I wish that I had the courage to do so. Bras are a terrible nuisance. I remove them at every possible opportunity when doing so will not cause offense to anyone - only at home. It seems to me that bras, stockings, and sometimes slips were created to annoy, frustrate, suppress and generally make life miserable for women. They do enhance the look of some clothing and provide support for larger breasts, but most often they are just a terrible nuisance.

I never leave home without one or minimally,a tank with a "shelf bra" built in. I think I look better "supported"...
