Its too open a question. As a rule of thumb, birds species with males brighter and more colourful than females will have more than one mate every mating season or a new one every season. The males use the brighter colours to show off to females. Males that look the same as females mean that they mate for life or long periods of time. They already have a long-term mate and therefore don't need to change colour to impress her. Hope this helps.
