There are a lot of ways of incorporating self-made art into designing a space. The easiest way is probably to look at the color of the artwork and answer the following question: "Do I want my artwork to stand out or blend in?"
I'm pretty sure you want it to stand out. As such, you look for your artwork's most dominant color and make sure that you display it on a background having that dominant color's complimentary. For example, if your artwork is dominantly blue, then you display it on a wall that is orange.
If you are the type who is opposed to having strong colors as your wall color. Then, it is best that you use a neutral palette in designing your home. And use the artwork as the major source of color. Should you want color in accessorizing your room, choose colors that were used in the artowrk.

If you made that art yourself of course you can input it into your interior design just don't display all the arts you made. You may display a few of them somewhere in your place. Originality is always a plus.
