7What can I do about writer's "burnout?"
I seem to have gotten burnout; I don't have writer's block, I just feel burnt out. So what should I do?

Take a bit of time off. Really. Don't write at all for a certain length of time. It's like a vacation and sometimes you just need one. I've been there.
I told a writer friend of mine to take time off when she was burned out. I told her to take four weeks off, seriously, no writing at all, not even lists. Well, she couldn't wait that long. But give yourself permission to not write all the time.
And don't worry. You're a writer. You won't be able to stop yourself from writing again. But take some time.

What works for me is talking to people out there in the real world about anything and everything. Lo and behold you have new ideas to write about. I work at a golf course right now and talking to the customers seems to generate lots of ideas. Talk to people at the grocery store, in your neighborhood, family and from any walk of life. Even people who work at banks and the automobile repair shop have given me great ideas.
You also need to write about things that are fun so try some of these questions and try to write a hub and not just a short note like this one. I also play with Picnik (a photo editing program) to change my view from words to graphics which triggers other ideas and is a great change of pace.

Try changing your environment. Sometimes, our environment can put us in the mood. Its just like if you want romance, you put yourself in a romantic environment with candle lights and soft music. Same with writing. Put yourself in an environment that will persuade you to write. I usually get a hotel room with a fantastic view. As I stare and marvel at the view, all sorts of things come to mind to write about.

well some people on hubpages, make wallflowers for people..
Some say getting a pet helps, because if you observe say the behavior of a cat or dog.... the writing block may go.
Think back to your school life, is there anything you could tell us about that, an interesting hub lately was about someone who went to boarding school.
Dont give writing up altogether though the writing block may pass...
